The Faculty Development Committee serves to:

*advise the Director of The Center for Teaching and Learning,

*review applications for The Center for Teaching and Learning Fellowships. Currently there are fellowship programs in Civic Engagement, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), and Diversity,

*help develop areas of new or improved programming and service,

*provide a line of communication between The Center for Teaching and Learning and their colleagues,

*advocate for faculty development on campus and within departments or schools/college,

*assess faculty development programming and services,

*participate in signature faculty development events such as New Faculty Orientation, the Baldwin Lecture, Global Issues Colloquium, Weekly Lunch Series, Tech Breaks, Service-Learning, and Grants programming,

*and increase the corps of faculty on campus who are knowledgeable of the pan-institutional issues and needs of faculty and instructional staff.
