Truman is a sponsoring campus for this well-regarded event. The Center for Teaching and Learning sponsors the participation of a team from Truman each summer.
The institute is limited to approximately 150 participants who will join with and learn from 28 scholars, 7 former-Carnegie Scholars who serve as institute mentors, and 3 keynote speakers--Amy Haddad, Creighton University's Center for Health Policy and Ethics Director; Pat Hutchings, Vice President, Carnegie Foundation; and Randy Bass, Assistant Provost for Teaching and Learning Incentives at Georgetown University. Developmental opportunities include: (1) a pre-institute workshop and leadership forum, (2) three days of workshops, and (3) twenty-eight scholars' presentations.
Note the March 4 deadline for submission of works-in-progress to receive mentoring. Please contact Julie Lochbaum for more information as she has participated in proposal review for four years and has insights to offer. Click here to see the Call for Proposals and here for a brochure.
