Univ. of Mich. Admissions Lawsuits: Supporting Research
This website from the University of Michigan gathers up the expert
testimony that was used in their affirmative action case. Read
particularly the work of Patricia Gurin and follow the responses to
critiques of her expert testimony. Gurin's study, which is the
foundation of her expert testimony, was later converted into an
important article in the Harvard Educational Review, Vol 72, no. 3
with co-authors Dey, Hurtado and Gurin. This article is in Pickler
Library's holdings and is entitled, Diversity and Higher
Education: Theory and Impact on Educational Outcomes. I cannot
recommend this article enough to Diversity Fellows.
